Q: I am just wondering if there is a new A+ test coming out soon?

Google

A: End of the year

Please see http://comptia.org/certification/A/upgrade.asp

Existing A+ techs to take one exam to 'upgrade' their status to reflect the content of the 2003 exam objectives.

New candidates will simply take Hardware and Software 2003 exams when they are rolled out at the end of the year

Tom (A+, N+, MCP70-210)

I see NOTHING there about a single upgrade exam
I do see info on AN upgrade to the exam objectives
I also see that one can take ONE exam on 2001 objectives & the OTHER on 2003 objectives & still become certified (a policy change)

Note that A+ certs don't expire. They're good for life. HOWEVER...it's always good to keep up to date. =)
